Fire containment lines have been constructed and strengthened around the entire perimeter of the fire. Smoke may continue to be visible within the fire perimeter as mop-up efforts continue. Local fire crews will continue to patrol and monitor the fire area. Fire suppression repair operations are on-going. Hot and dry weather conditions are expected to continue throughout the remainder of this fire season. Fire officials urge the public to be cautious with outdoor activities and the use of power equipment which could spark a fire. The BLM will continue to maintain road and recreation area restrictions for some time. Mendo Rock Road Access to North Cow Mountain Road is still closed at Mill Creek. The Cow Mountain Recreation Area has been closed at both the Scotts Creek and Mill Creek entrances. Glen Eden and Valley View Trails are closed.
