No new lightning fires reported on State responsibility
27 new reported lightning caused fires on Federal responsibility

9/14 AM - 3,200 lightning strikes in the past 24 hours has resulted in 14 new fires for a running total of 108 new fires.

9/13 PM - 94 lightning sparked fires since 9/9. Largest fire was contained at 15 acres.

9/13 AM - The past 24 hours northern California has received over 6000 lightning strikes. There have been 62 lightning sparked fires since 9/9.

9/12 - 31 state fires reported due to lightning in the last 24 hour period.
Lassen-Modoc Unit - 7 fires - largest being 5 acres - 100% contained.
Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit - 4 single tree fires - 100% contained.
Shasta-Trinity Unit - 3 fires - 100% contained.
Tehama-Glenn Unit - 4 fires for a total of 3 acres - 100% contained.
Amador-El Dorado Unit - 13 fires, all less than half acre - 100% contained.

9/10 - A total of 517 lightning strikes in northern California yesterday, for a total of approximately 854 strikes in northern California since 9/7/11.
7 confirmed fires on Federal Responsibility yesterday, all less than an acre.
Santa Clara Unit (Contra Costa County) 1 fire - 6 acres near Mt. Diablo - 100% contained.
Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit - 3 single tree fires - 100% contained.

9/9 - Approximately 50 total lightning strikes occurred in northern California.
Humboldt Unit - 1 small spot fire – 100% contained.
Santa Clara Unit (Contra Costa & Alameda Counties) - 5 fires with the largest at 15 acres, all 100% contained.
